Job Description:
Passion, knowledge, ambition, personality and dynamic sales skills lead the list of our requirements, and all are equally important.
We are a “boutique” wine retailer, specializing the wines of Burgundy, the Rhone Valley and Oregon. We have a national client base, so our client contact is primarily by phone and email. The ability to handle both are critical to an Account Executives success, however, we have found that initially relationships are best initiated by phone, establishing a “human contact” that some clients prefer to maintain, while others wish to continue through the efficiency of email.
Phones are an important tool for us, therefore successful AEs must be phone-fearless, and have the ability to express themselves with enthusiasm, intelligence and confidence when contacting clients to make a sale. Emails must follow the same general guidelines, with professional demeanor – complete sentences, words and proper punctuation. We are not in the habit of “scripting” communications, as individual personalities enhance communications – but we also won’t support an “anything goes” approach.
And now the biggie. We sell wines – not scores. The use of scores is strictly prohibited.

We offer a modest base, and escalating commission with no cap (paid twice a month). Hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m to 7 p.m. Paid vacation, sick days and holidays. Participation in group health plan available after 3 months employment.
