Job Description:
* Plan, communicate, and execute the sales goals in your region. Achieve ambitious volume and profit objectives within your market.
* Manage a team of district managers by oversight of sales and merchandising efforts for the region.
* Prepare, execute, and achieve desired survey results as agreed upon with supplier representatives and management.
* Train, develop, and mentor district managers to foster the growth of their leadership skills and build the overall success of the teams within your region of responsibility.
* Analyze sales statistics and recommend policy developments to enhance sales figures and foster goal attainment.
* Create innovative sales/merchandising techniques, and communicate attainment plans to managers’ to meet company and supplier sales goals.
* Provide consistent and regular communication to team. Plan, organize and execute weekly meetings and supplier presentations to inspire confidence among your managers and gain endorsement as an effective company spokesperson.
* Strategically support Managers with conflict resolution, removal of performance obstacles, and/or relationship concerns among key grocery store accounts in the region.
* Strategize with executive sales and merchandising management to provide sales reports/results reflecting case volume sales activity in your respective region of chain accounts.
* Identify market trends and developments in product categories, geographic regions and among grocery store account base, so you are at the forefront when compared to the competition.
* Build, maintain and nurture strong and productive business relationships among the supplier community and in accordance with all customers/accounts in set geographic region to ensure satisfaction level is high and desired results are being accomplished.
* Perform other work related duties and special projects as assigned.
