Audit Manager- Risk
Job Description:
The Audit Manager – Risk will have significant responsibility in the following areas:
• Developing and implementing an approach to ensure that IA’s responsibilities relating to the IRMR process, in co-ordination with Hub and country risk managers, are delivered on-time, to the quality required, and in compliance with industry ‘best practice’.
• Developing and implementing a method of reporting to the Risk Committee on the same
• Working with functional heads, carrying out corporate centre level and BPO risk assessments
• Co-ordinating activities with other functions that have risk-related responsibilities, for example Group Insurance, and Finance & Control regarding IFC
• Developing training plans, with others as necessary, to act as either primary or refresher training for corporate, hub and country staff involved in IRMR.
• Assisting in the IA annual planning process, to ensure the content is consistent with the results of the IRMR process
• Overseeing IA’s IFC-related work, to ensure it operates on-time, to the quality required and in compliance with industry ‘best practice’.
• Defining IA’s group-wide approach to fraud risk management, rolling this out across the function with training as required, determining and then reporting against fraud-related KPIs with respect to IAs work, and working with other interested parties (e.g. Group Legal) to ensure that information can be consolidated and presented from a hub and group perspective
• Working closely with the CIA and the Senior Audit Manager to build an approach to combined assurance and a process for determining the effectiveness of the same.
• Identifying, sharing and promoting best practice in Internal Auditing throughout the Group.
• Maintaining regular contact with Divisional Internal Audit teams and other key stakeholders
• Providing leadership and direction to staff as required
• Representing the department at selected external forums / discussion groups
• Performing other duties as assigned
